1/20 was a collaborative portrait project with visionary make-up artist Keely Mangham.

It began as a series of test shoots with Annabel Simpson, and steadily grew into a body of work, at the heart of which lay what we described as the 'theatre of the face'. We explored how the appearance of a single face could be dramatically altered simply through use of make-up, lighting and expression.

The result was a series of 20 images depicting an array of personas, some beautiful, some haunting, some absurd, but all striking.

The series was exhibited in London in 2013 and the print sale helped to raise more than £5,000 for Help For Heroes
